It seems like only yesterday we were reminding people to have maintenance checks to make sure their HVAC equipment was prepared to handle the cooler weather of winter. But this is Florida, after all, and the winters here are mild and don’t hang around. In fact, it won’t be long until we’re enjoying warm temperatures once again—although perhaps “enjoying” isn’t always the right term for when it gets extraordinarily hot.

Last week we wrote about three helpful tips for saving money on air conditioning, which is a year-round concern in a place that can stay as warm as Florida. We would like to add an important tip to the others: Clean the air filter once a month while the air conditioner runs on a regular basis.
